The Look for Less

3 Oct

Oh. Have I ever mentioned that I have a little issue with shopping for home furnishings? Well, I do.  But it’s excellent for my mental health.

My husband doesn’t understand this. He’d live forever with the old saggy pea green green couch and concrete + iron (yes, you read that correctly) coffee table from college s if I’d let him, so he doesn’t really understand my pressing need to constantly update. This means I have to watch what I spend on home furnishings.

I’m obsessed with the living room in the pic below, but a certain someone is not obsessed with letting me redecorate. Again. However, if you’re in need of new furniture and are on a similar budget, the entire look below can be achieved for less than $1500.

1./3./5. – Throw Pillows here here and here (Etsy $45, Target $33, World Market $9.99)

2. Pendant Lamp (West Elm, $199)

4. Glass Coffee Table – (CB2,  $199)

6. Tray -(Happy Chic by Jonathan Adler for JPC, $45)

7. Canvas Loveseat – (Lamps Plus $769.99)

8. Starbust Mirror – (Target, $34.99)

9. Decorative Silver Orbs (West Elm, Sale $7.99-9.99)

10, Window Coverings – (Target, $21.99 each)

Are you sure that coffee table isn’t concrete and iron. Looks like concrete and iron to me. I had one of those once. Looked just like that. It was made of concrete and iron.
